We are currently recruiting an Information Security Officer. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work.
Within a team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support the risk management framework of the organization and develop, implement, and maintain risk mitigation plans to minimize potential security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security frameworks and regulations, and manage audits and ensure proper documentation for regulatory & internal control purposes.
- Keep up to date the security policies, processes and procedures of the organization.
- Develop and maintain a group wide information security awareness program.
- Manage outsourced suppliers, coordinating outsourcing risk management activities and ensuring appropriate controls are in place with the service providers.
- Maintain the resiliency framework of the organization and ensure that business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans are up to date and tested.
- Be involved in the IT processes and ensure that appropriate controls are implemented throughout their implementation.
- Manage and maintain hands-on technical security controls, ensuring they are configured, updated, and monitored to prevent unauthorized access and mitigate threats. Regularly evaluate and fine-tune security tools to maximize performance, enhance protection capabilities, and align with evolving security needs.
- Establish incident response procedures to address and resolve security incidents efficiently. Be involved in the incident management process and collaborate with the IT team to address security issues.
- Establish security metrics to monitor the effectiveness of security programs and controls and maintain a reporting plan for the top management.
Your skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, CSA CCM, etc.).
- Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud security tools is preferred.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and resilience under pressure.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to align security projects with business objectives.
- Experience in conducting security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify improvements will be considered an asset.
- Experience in the implementation or operations of a Security Operations Center (SOC) will be considered an asset.
- Excellent command of English. Any additional language, such as French will be an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
