Welcome back to our ‘Meet the Experts’ series. In this article, we turn the spotlight on Real Assets, exploring how Centralis Group is redefining administrative support for real asset managers through bespoke service delivery, specialist expertise and cutting-edge technology.
To provide deeper insight into this sector and the unique approach that Centralis takes, we spoke with the Heads of Real Assets, Miroslav Stoev and Sansal Ozdemir. With more than 50 years of combined experience, Miroslav and Sansal shed light on how Centralis differentiates itself from other firms and provides best-in-class services in the sector.
Miroslav and Sansal are the co-founders of Luxembourg-based service provider Ferris Group, which was acquired by Centralis in 2023.The acquisition created a specialised Real Assets service line co-headed by Sansal and Miro to further enhance Centralis Group’s services within real assets for SPVs, Fund Services and Co-Sourcing.
Comprehensive services across the Real Assets lifecycle
Centralis offers end-to-end support across the full Real Assets investment lifecycle – from transaction support and regulatory compliance to financial reporting, consolidation, SPV administration and business continuity planning. The Group is also experienced in managing both regulated and unregulated fund structures, helping clients scale without compromising operational control.
A key area of differentiation lies in Centralis’ ability to execute seamless Real Assets transactions. The Real Assets Team (RAT) of Centralis has several decades of cumulative experience obtained through real life transaction experience in former tenors, as well as supporting current client portfolios. Unlike larger firms – which often struggle with the multi-layered inputs of cross-border deals – Centralis can coordinate and supervise tax, legal, finance and portfolio management teams under one roof during a transaction closing – enabling smooth, proactive execution. Advance warnings, jurisdictional insight and real-time responsiveness are embedded in the process.
“We’ve carved out a niche in seamless transactions, which are often underserved by the larger players,” explains Sansal. “Our team’s ability to anticipate and manage complexity gives our clients peace of mind throughout the transaction process.”
The real estate investment landscape
The real estate investment landscape continues to evolve in complexity, requiring firms to manage multi-jurisdictional structures, regulatory obligations and increasingly sophisticated investor expectations. Navigating this environment demands more than operational know-how; it requires a partner with deep industry insight, adaptable solutions, sophisticated IT framework and a consultative mindset.
Centralis has positioned itself at the forefront of this shift, delivering tailored, technology-enabled services to Real Asset clients across Europe and beyond.
Tailored support through innovation and expertise
At the heart of Centralis Group’s real estate proposition is a flexible, client-first approach. Rather than offering off-the-shelf packages, it provides bespoke solutions built around each client’s operational model, pain points and strategic goals. Whether clients are looking to outsource select functions or require full-service support, Centralis adapts to their needs.
Technology plays a vital role in enhancing service delivery. Centralis has developed significant capabilities in Yardi Voyager, the leading platform for real estate investment management. Ferris Group was the first service provider in Luxembourg to implement and use Yardi after 2011 for bespoke and tailored client reporting solutions. Acting as super-users, the team supports clients both on their own Yardi systems and within client-hosted environments. This flexibility ensures data ownership remains with the client while operational efficiency and reporting quality are enhanced.
“We don’t believe in forcing clients into rigid processes,” says Miroslav. “Our goal is to support them in the way that works best for their structure – whether that means customising Yardi, integrating our tools into their environment, or co-sourcing in a way that aligns with their long-term strategy.”
Delivering results through real partnership
Centralis Group’s real estate clients range from boutique asset managers to global fund sponsors. A recent success story involved supporting a client through the consolidation of a complex cross-border structure – previously a source of frustration due to a lack of coordination between local service providers. By centralising support, offering Yardi-based reporting, and coordinating seamlessly across jurisdictions, Centralis delivered operational clarity and efficiency within weeks.
A partner for your Real Assets ambitions
In an increasingly competitive and regulated environment, Real Asset managers need more than just a service provider – they need a strategic partner. Centralis offers just that: tailored, expert-led solutions delivered by a team that listens first, and acts with precision.
