Commercial and Business Analyst
Career Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a Commercial and Business Analyst for our Belfast office. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation and be at the heart of the growth strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible to develop the management reporting packs and analysis to support both commercial and business analytics. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Analyse large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights that will drive business decisions
- Sales forecasting and trend analysis – working closely with the sales team to evaluate performance against targets and be able to work with CCO on improvements
- Data Management: Administer new data in our CRM system (Capsule) and ensure high data integrity within Capsule and Power BI
- Working with the business and finance to create standardised pricing models to optimize revenue and profitability
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and opportunities and present findings back into the commercial team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making and help to build business case studies for expansion into new territory
- Maintain the client datasets to be able to provide analysis around customer satisfaction, retention trends, white space and provide regular timely reporting on client account strategies
- Assist new acquisitions onboard working with finance and the new acquired business to get them set up in capsule and manage reporting from CRM
- Engage in interesting and dynamic projects
- Maintain the Capsule and Data integrity manuals and provide training to new joiners
- Working with finance across targets, T&E budgets and commission process and reconciliation
- Working with finance perform 1/4ly deal reconciliation across capsule and billing / finance
Your skills:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or business management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pricing strategies and market research at financial services
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI and data analytics
- Excellent communication skills in English and being able to translate data into impactful business insights
- Strong analytical, problem-solving & organisational skills
- Discretion and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
- Strong motivation to work in a fast growing, dynamic and challenging environment
- Assist new acquisitions onboard working with finance and the new acquired business to get them set up in capsule and manage reporting from CRM
