Career Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting a Transfer Agent, for our Sofia office. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work. 

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Transfer Agent & Investor Relations services by liaising directly with Asset Managers and Investors;
  • Onboarding of new Investors. Receive, assess and validate all Investor documents required to comply with the Transfer Agency regulations;
  • Perform AML / KYC initial and periodical due diligence reviews for low / medium / high risk Investors;
  • Identify any missing documents in existing KYC files and coordinate client outreach to address and fill the gaps;
  • Keep abreast of the changes in the AML and CTF laws and regulations related to the industry;
  • Produce periodic KPIs and KRIs reports for internal use and for clients;
  • Review the Fund offering documents prior to Fund launch, or as and when they are amended, to ensure the regulatory and operational framework is respected;
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and mitigate operational risk of Transfer Agency services;
  • Perform a range of instructions for subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, partner transfers etc.;
  • Maintain the investors/share/unitholders register and ensure availability at any point in time, by recording capital events and commitments in real time;
  • Reconciling cash entries with capital events and promptly escalate to management and clients/asset manager any breaks or non-compliance instances (e.g. third-party payments);
  • Work closely with the Fund Accounting team to ensure timely and quality delivery of the periodical financial information to Investors (Capital Account and Financial Statements, newsletter, etc.);
  • Escalate issues to the Middle & Senior Management and propose viable solutions;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across business lines and jurisdictions as required;
  • Act as first line of defense and escalate any potential suspicious transactions as per the procedure and applicable laws;
  • Liaise with other Fund main stakeholders such as AIFMs, Depositary and Bank(s) as appropriate; and
  • Consistently coach and train the junior team members.;

Your skills:

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in the Transfer Agent function in a financial institution, a fund administrator or similar.
  • Previous experience in illiquid alternative asset classes, such as private equity, private debt or real estate investment funds administration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)  
  • Any prior experiences on E-front are considered an advantage  
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, keep within tight deadlines and multi-task
  • Strong motivation to work in a quickly growing, dynamic and challenging environment
