Nick has twenty years’ experience working within financial services, starting his career qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and then moving to Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank. In 1999 he was appointed CFO & COO of a London-based fixed income hedge fund (Bipielle International), and then set up a consultancy business to advise start-up hedge fund managers with strategies including fixed income, global macro, event-driven arbitrage and convertible arbitrage, advising principally on operations, risk management, infrastructure and compliance.
He then joined Vizor Investment Management, a global macro start-up fund, as CFO, COO and risk manager, with responsibility for the firm’s legal, compliance, operations and risk management.
In 2005 he joined another start-up fund, OMG Capital LLP, setting up several funds and legal structures over the subsequent seven years. His remit included FSA and SEC registration and compliance, operations, risk management, legal and finance, together with responsibility for ensuring that industry best-practice levels of corporate governance were adopted.
Nick moved to the Cayman Islands at the start of 2013 to act as a professional non-executive director establishing Danesmead in 2014. He is a chartered accountant, holder of the CAIA charter, and is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and AIMA.
