Kim has over 20 years’ experience working within the financial service sector with a focus on regulation, legal, governance and fund administration. Kim was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of New Zealand in 2000 before moving to London where she joined Credit Suisse First Boston as an analyst in the Debt Capital Markets Transaction Management Team.

In 2002, Kim left the United Kingdom to join the Maples and Calder (Cayman) Finance Team. During this time Kim primarily dealt with legal documentation relating to securitisation, CDO/CLO note programmes, asset repackaging and MTN/ECP programmes, in addition to general corporate and regulatory matters.

In 2012, Kim transitioned from Maples and Calder to join Maples Finance as an independent director working on a wide range of alternative investment structures including hedge funds, fund of funds, segregated portfolio companies, unit trusts, and private equity vehicles.
In 2015, Kim joined BNY Mellon Fund Management (Cayman) Limited as a Fund Administration Manager where she led the legal/regulatory team of the unit trust business. She then re-joined Maples Finance as an independent director in 2019.
Kim has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor Arts (History and Classics) from University of Otago in New Zealand.

She is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand. She is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, 100 Women in Finance, and holds an Accredited Director designation from the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
