Career Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting an IT Application Officer  for our Bulgarian office, in Sofia. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work. 

Within a team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • In this function you ensure that the applications used by the business are deployed correctly and continue to operate optimally
  • Work with vendors and third-party support providers to ensure Group applications and business applications are available in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Monitor and manage all escalated service requests and change requests for applications ensuring tickets are allocated appropriately and closed in a timely manner
  • Day to day maintenance of applications - to include the creation and deactivation of users, maintenance of user permissions, management of environments, co-ordination of system updates, applying patches and overseeing User Acceptance Testing
  • Coordinating with vendors and Champions to assist with data transfers and establishment of consistent data management principles across the Group
  • Assisting with the integration of future Group acquisitions into core systems
  • Assist with the development of reporting products as regulation changes and business needs evolve
  • Review, development and maintenance of relevant technical user guides – arranging focussed training sessions to users as required
  • Participation in User Group meetings with application Champions
  • General development and enhancement of existing systems

Your skills:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and application design principles
  • Knowledge with ERP solutions like Business Central/NavOne
  • Knowledge with Azure Enterprise Applications / SSO SAML integrations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant technologies is advantageous
  • Problem solving skills – ability to spot problems and formulate solutions
  • Ability to take on projects and see through to successful completion
  • Attention to detail and have the ability to work with a moderate level of supervision
  • Strong people skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels
  • Project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage resources effectively
  • A hand-on approach and a can-do mentality with the ability to deliver to commitments
  • A logic and structed analytical approach to problem solving
  • PowerShell Scripting knowledge is required
  • General Knowledge of how to manage and maintain Cloud applications
